Writing Central Baltimore
Writing Central Baltimore was a collaborative course offered by The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University and the School of Communications Design at the University of Baltimore in the Spring of 2010. Its objective was to create a literary database about those neighborhoods in Baltimore, Maryland that make up the district known as Central Baltimore. Central Baltimore is, at its center, four historic neighborhoods: Barclay, Greenmount West, Charles North, and Old Goucher.
The students were undergraduate and graduate students of the University of Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University. Jane Delury (University of Baltimore) and Tristan Davies (Johns Hopkins University) were the instructors.
Each contributor has a personal page and has created an individual project.
Students also worked together on group projects.
Writing Central Baltimore is made possible in part by a grant from the Central Baltimore Partnership, the Central Baltimore Higher Education Collaborative, and a Provost's Grant for Innovation in the Arts from Johns Hopkins University.
